In the beginning was the Word ...

The verses are from the Sower on the index page.

The Sower

Matt. 13: 3-8
  3. .....   Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
 4.  And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
 5.  Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
 6.  And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
 7.  And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
 8.  But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixty fold, some thirty fold.

Faith

Romans 10: 17.  So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Heb. 11:  1.  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Matt 17: 20.  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you

Love

Deut. 7:13 13.  And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy land, thy corn, and thy wine, and thy oil, the increase of thy kin, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the land which he swore unto thy fathers to give thee.
Gal 5: 22-23  22.  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
 23.  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law

Hope

1 1 Cor. 15:19-20
 19.  If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
 20.  But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the first fruits of them that slept.

Charity

1 Corinthians 13

 1.  Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
 2.  And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
 3.  And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profit me nothing.
 4.  Charity suffer  long, and is kind; charity envie not; charity vaunt  not itself, is not puffed up,
 5.  Doth not behave itself unseemly, seek not her own, is not easily provoked, think no evil;
 6.  Rejoice not in iniquity, but rejoice in the truth;
 7.  Bear all things, believeth all things, hope all things, endure all things.
 8.  Charity never fail: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
 9.  For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
 10.  But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
 11.  When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
 12.  For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
 13.  And now abide faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity

Salvation

 John 3:16.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Gal. 5: 22.  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
 23.  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Romans 10: 13.  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
1John 1 : 4.  And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
 5.  This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
 6.  If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
 7.  But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanse us from all sin.
 8.  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
 9.  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
 10.  If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
