Don
As you know we lost our main building in a fire. We have moved to 248 2nd S.W.
and we are not able to do recycling at this time, which was our main funding
base and how we pay our bills. We can only have eleven people in our
building at one time. Our building is very small. At the present time we
are having a sprinkler system installed so we can continue our male shelter.
We will be able to provide eleven bed male shelter. Paris needs a 20 bed
shelter for our local people. Our present building is 2300 square feet
and we need to be 4000 square feet. We need to be able to recycle again.
For recycling we need 6000 square feet building space with a loading dock for
18 wheelers. We have the land available on 2nd street to build but we do
not have the funds and the city would have to re-zone to light industrial.
We have all the equipment to recycle, we just need the building.
Our prayer is to continue Christians in Action because it is a much needed
service to our local people. If you have any ideas or you would like to
come by to see what services we are providing please feel free to come by.
Additional 1800 square feet is needed to store furniture, clothing and food.
The building we lost to fire totaled 22,000 square feet. All of our services
are free of charge to the public. If you can help in any way please
contact me at 903-784-6857. To see what we did at Thanksgiving see our
Thanksgiving page. Lord blessed us again with what we needed during
the holidays but now it time to go into prayer and
ask the Lord to provide what we need for the beginning
of a New Year 2010.
We want to thank him for these provision that through
faith and prayer He will provide.
